There are two different approaches your organization can take when considering a Voice Response Unit.

You can do your research and find the best equipment in the industry. Have a few meetings, talk to your developer on the phone once or twice and get your application "rolled out and in production" as quickly as possible. Fire the box up, make sure it answers the phone and then lock it in the closet and let it do its job.

After all, you bought the best equipment on the market, and now it should just run, right?
